Industrial and Production Engineering is a broad field compared to other engineering disciplines. The major activities of industrial and production engineering stem from manufacturing industries and include work methods analysis and improvement.
AIUB has already received the permission from University Grant Commission (UGC) to start the program from January 2020.
Mission of Industrial and Production Engineering Department:
1. to provide the high-quality educational experience in the industrial and production engineering discipline dealing with the design, development, and implementation of integrated systems of humans, machines, and information resources to provide products and services, which will prepare our graduates to contribute successfully to society and to assume leadership roles in industrial, governmental, and academic professions.
2. to provide the nation with specialized knowledge and skills in the physical, social, engineering, and management sciences, such as human and cognitive sciences, computer systems and information technologies, manufacturing processes, operations research, Production, and automation.
3. to provide the society the knowledge how industrial engineer integrates people into the design and development of systems, thus requiring an understanding of the physical, physiological, psychological, and other characteristics that govern and affect the performance of individuals and groups in working environments.
4. to provide service to the industrial, governmental, and professional communities through dissemination of research findings, provision of continuing education programs, interaction with industry and professional colleagues, membership on advisory committees, consulting, and other outreach activities.
