Propective Students
The objective of the programs is to provide a curriculum that is both broad and deep, covering different technical areas of modern Electrical and Electronic Engineering. The programs emphasize on the following topics:
- Sound background in basic sciences and mathematics
- A strong preparation in wide areas of Electrical and Electronic Engineering
- Sufficient training on the use of computers as a tool for analysis, computing, control and design
- Sufficient laboratory practice with system, devices, equipments and instruments of various sophistication.
Faculty of engineering courses specially EEE Programe combines the analysis and design of Electrical and Electronic Circuits and techniques of automatic control processes, various communication system, signal processing, Electrical power generation, transmission and distribution.
The advancement in modern technologies- such as the internet, cellular mobile communication, satellite communications, high performance computers, power plants, renewable energy and robotics- based on Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Therefore, the curriculum is thoroughly based on the fundamental theories of Electrical andElectronic Engineering while being dynamic to accommodate the development of the latest technologies and the advancement of the old technologies.
The undergraduate program in computer Engineering offers the students a strong background in the core technical areas and exposure to the cutting-edge technologies where their engineering contribution will be utilized. The course involves study of computer architecture, computer systems and networks, theory and design of digital system and software engineering.
Investigations include architecture design, parallel processing, microprocessor-based-systems, fault-tolerant computing and design for testability, computer-aided design, computer vision, VLSI system design, embedded systems, local area networks, and hardware/software design.
The curriculum is structured to provide a through foundation of fundamentals of Computer Engineering. Technical designs as well as analysis are emphasized throughout the curriculum by using a project-based structure to teach students how to learn on their own, work in teams and perform new engineering solutions by using their knowledge and analytical skills.
