Welcome to the Faculty of Engineering at the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB). There is no better or more important time to be an engineer. Engineering is ever-present. Almost everything we do and touch today has been designed and built through the actions and oversight of engineers. Engineers as part of the society providing solutions to deal with the major issues that confront us today… justifying the effects of climate change, improving the sustainability of our economy, ensuring our personal and national security as well as providing a better infrastructure in every areas for our daily life.

Excellence…leadership…quality…distinction…diversity…opportunities…growth… these are attributes of our Faculty of Engineering, all of which serve as critical components in developing and enhancing our college’s potential of becoming an internationally recognized academy for interdisciplinary research and excellence in engineering.

We started our journey with only 30 students and today we have more than 2600 students pursuing their education under the guidance of approximately 68 well qualified faculty and 60 staff members. So far, we graduated 468 engineers, every one of whom was either recruited by a local or national engineering firm or went on to graduate school.

Our outstanding faculty continually devote themselves to teaching, mentoring and preparing our students for engineering leadership roles. We have a highly creative, collaborative faculty who are committed in finding exciting answers through highly interdisciplinary work, the new frontier in engineering and the sciences. We are considered a partner of choice with industry, with more and more firms looking to us for ideas and discoveries they can help transfer to the real world.

We are in a unique position, with the development of new facilities and labs, the addition of new technology, the keen interest of industry, and the tremendous capabilities of our faculty and staff to create a Faculty of Engineering that is truly outstanding and noteworthy.

Every student coming to the college receives personalized attention and is supported through effective student support services including mentorship, peer-tutoring, advising, academic residential living and learning, internships, job placement, etc. We are proud of our near perfect student placement with a diverse set of industries.

It is my distinct pleasure to work with our Faculty of Engineering team and all of the individuals who are deeply committed to the shared vision of an excellent engineering program for AIUB and beyond.
